What is VahanSense?

VahanSense is a car companion app that helps you diagnose problems, understand insurance policies, decide whether to claim, compare policies, and connect with a community of real car owners.

Is VahanSense free to use?

Yes. The core features — diagnosis, insurance analysis, and community — are completely free. No ads, no data selling.

How does the diagnosis feature work?

You describe what your car is doing (noises, warning lights, smells, behavior) and VahanSense analyzes your description against thousands of known vehicle patterns to give you likely causes, urgency level, and estimated repair costs.

Can I analyze my insurance policy?

Yes. Upload a photo or PDF of your policy. VahanSense reads it and gives you a clear breakdown of what is covered, what is excluded, hidden gaps, and savings opportunities — all in plain language.

How does "Should I Claim?" work?

Describe your damage and upload your policy. VahanSense calculates whether claiming is financially worth it by comparing repair costs against the premium increase and NCB loss over the next 3-5 years.

What cars does VahanSense support?

All major brands sold in India — Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Honda, Toyota, Kia, Mahindra, Volkswagen, Skoda, MG, and more. Both petrol and diesel vehicles.

Is my data safe?

Your data is encrypted and stored securely. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. You can delete your account and all data at any time.

What is the VahanSense Community?

A space where car owners post real problems, share fixes, and help each other. Verified fixes get marked as "Fixed" or "Verified" so you know which advice to trust.

Do I need to create an account?

You can browse the community and read articles without an account. To post questions, reply, vote, or use diagnosis/insurance features, you will need to sign in with your phone or Google account.

Is VahanSense available on iOS?

Currently VahanSense is available on Android via Google Play. iOS support is on our roadmap.
